If you are transferring to a bus, train or streetcar within 2½ hours of boarding the LIFT bus, simply tap your LIFT Hop card on the validator of the vehicle you are boarding and you will not be charged for the transfer. If it is more than 2½ hours since you originally boarded the LIFT vehicle, your Hop card will be charged the Honored Citizen fare of $1.40 when you tap your Hop card on the bus, train or streetcar. Acompañantes/Asistentes de cuidado personal

Un asistente de atención personal (PCA) que viaja junto con un cliente de LIFT no paga la tarifa. Los clientes pueden traer un acompañante, además de un PCA. Ese acompañante pagará la tarifa total de $2.80. Los acompañantes no pueden pagar con una tarjeta Hop a bordo de LIFT.

Children age 6 and under ride for free when accompanied by a fare paying adult. If the accompanying adult is serving as a PCA, then the rider must pay fare, regardless of age.

Hop Fastpass en LIFT

Once you are determined eligible for LIFT you will receive your own personalized LIFT Hop card, which can be used onboard TriMet buses, trains, and LIFT vehicles.

Getting Started

  1. Register your LIFT Hop card at myhopcard.com and transfer any balance you have on another card.
  2. Make sure to add money to your card before traveling.
  3. Schedule your LIFT trips and select Hop as your payment method.
  4. Show your LIFT Hop card to the driver when boarding to pay your $2.80 fare.
  5. Use your card on TriMet buses, MAX Light Rail, C-TRAN and Streetcar.

Benefits of Your LIFT Hop Card

  • Ride more, pay less. Earn a month pass after spending $74 on LIFT rides in a calendar month. Make sure you always have funds loaded to your card before you take a trip. Any extra balance rolls over.
  • For other TriMet buses and trains, pay a reduced fare of $1.40 per ride and unlock a monthly pass after spending $28.
  • Show the driver your LIFT Hop card when you board your vehicle.
  • Tap and go! Simply “tap” your card on the reader when boarding the bus or at MAX platforms.
  • Balance protection. Lost your card? Get a replacement by calling 503-962-8000, option 2.
  • Add money easily. Check your balance or add money anytime at myhopcard.com, on the app, at a TriMet ticket vending machine or in stores. Set up auto-load on the app or online to refill your card when it drops below $5.
